On Wednesday, Posner had commended the unprecedented steps taken by the kingdom in order to overcome the repercussions of the recent incidents and pave the way for a national reconciliation that engages all social groups.
This came as the Foreign Affairs minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received him at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bahrain.
During the meeting, they reviewed the outstanding Bahraini-US ties and ways of bolstering them.
Other issues of mutual concern were also discussed.
