Shaikh Fawaz in a statement said during a ceremony held by Bahrain Sports TV in the Sheraton Hotel’s Al-Awali hall marking the conclusion of the sport season.
“We will have more fast-paced development steps in light of the care and support accorded to the media sector,” Shaikh Fawaz stressed, in an open meeting with the attendees who included media persons and sports figures in Bahrain.
He also lauded developments witnessed by Bahrain Sports TV in terms of programmes and coverage of sporting events in Bahrain and abroad thanks to the high Bahraini competencies working for it.
The ceremony, which was presented by Mariam Bukamal and Khalid Al Ajmi, featured various entertaining programmes and interviews.
Honouring a number of sport media persons, including commentators, presenters, reporters and analysts who were selected by the public as the best media personalities on Bahrain Sports TV, the IAA President praised participation of over 20,000 viewers of the channel in voting for the best programmes and sport media persons via Bahrain News Agency (BNA) website over four days.
