In a statement issued following a meeting between the Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov with the State Minister for Information Affairs Samira bint Rajab here, the Russian Foreign Ministry called for the need to expand the national dialogue in Bahrain so as to engage all political groups.
The Ministry also said that Samira Rajab gave the Russian side detailed information about the situation in the kingdom and the progress of the political process.
The statement also indicated that the two sides discussed issues of mutual concern, especially the efforts to re-launch the strategic dialogue between the Russian Federation and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
