When police rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire they discovered the two objects inside the tyres. The Terror Combating Unit and Explosives Revocation Group were called in to examine the objects.
It was determined they were bombs that had been placed to cause injury to policemen and even, possibly, the general public. The experts dismantled one bomb while the other was exploded. Civil Defense and other security authorities were on hand to ensure the safety of the public.
The Chief stated that the people responsible for this heinous act will be brought to justice. No effort will be spared in finding and arresting those involved. He encouraged anyone with any knowledge of this event to call the police hotline at 80008008. Anonymity of the callers will be maintained.
