Bawadi Mall, the biggest shopping mall in Al Ain City has switched from artificial ice skating rink to real ice rink.
“We are excited about replacing the artificial ice with real ice in our skating rink. This is in response to visitors’ preference for skating on real ice. The new ice rink is the biggest indoor ice rink in a shopping mall in Al Ain, covering an area of 600 square meters,” Khalid Shraim, Senior Marketing Manager, Bawadi Mall, said.
“The new rink is designed to be a year-round destination for families and skating enthusiasts. It is climate controlled and offers a variety of skating activities for fun, entertainment and sports as well as for families who would like to spend time together in an enchanting environment,” Ayman Sartawi, Recreation Facilities Manager, Bawadi Mall, added.
He said that the new rink uses technology that maintains ice consistency at all times. Safety and quality ice are ensured when the ice rink is in operation.
The new skating rink will host sportive events ranging from hockey competitions to live concerts.
Shraim said the ice rink will offer skating lessons round the year and Bawadi Mall expects great demand from visitors and people living in Al Ain city and in the neighbourhood. Public skating as well as private and public skating lessons and special events like birthday parties, private functions and corporate events will be held at the rink.
“We have designed the new rink is a new enhancement to the shopping experience. It reflects our continuing investments in our mall that emerged as a leading shopping and leisure destination in the UAE,” Shraim added.
