Shaikh Khalid also emphasized pure Bahraini solutions through dialogue as a firm approach to manage different views and reach consensus in political action and support democratic development.
The Minister reaffirmed that the Kingdom continues to press forward in its comprehensive reforms and modernization through the national institutions and the rule of law, upholding and ensuring the respect and protection of the principles of pluralism, human rights and justice.
Shaikh Khalid said in a statement that dialogue in principle is a common national right and aspiration, and an important means to manage differing views and opinions in democratic societies through constitutional institutions.
“No one is or will be allowed to dictate a unilateral or exclusionist view, and the principle of national reconciliation is absolutely not negotiable, pointing out that active participation and contribution are important in paving the way, consolidating confidence and reconciliation, without the continued rallying and provocative speeches which coincide with the escalation of violence and sabotage.”
“Betting on violence to impose any conditions or to enforce any political positions is futile and was proven to fail. Shaikh Khalid reiterated the duty of explicit condemnation of continued violence and sabotage targeting the country’s security, undermining national economy, endangering safety and assaulting security personnel.”
Statements condemning violence cannot correspond with complementing those who call for and commit violence, or with providing political cover for such acts, their perpetrators, or illegal organizations which promote violence. This cannot be taken as a serious stand to condemn criminal and outlawed acts.
“Adopting or betting on violence and violation of laws does not provide a basis to support efforts being expended to provide positive atmospheres. Everyone, where concerned, must stand decisively and firmly against those acts, their perpetrators and instigators, and must respect the rule of law and order,” the Minister said.
The Minister emphasized the open door policy would continue for everyone to clear and truthful openness to others and described acts certain political powers who persist in misguiding public opinion and play on feelings, as futile and obstinate passiveness and persistence on wrong doing.
