At the beginning of the meeting, the minister welcomed the delegation of Global Business, commending the foundation’s contributions issued in all domains.
Dr. Mirza also reviewed with the delegation different issues concerned with the policy of the organization in the field of water for the next ten years, and its strategic plan in expanding transmission and distribution networks of electricity, in the light of the high and increasing rates of consumption.
The meeting also reviewed the uses of renewable green energy, and the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa of the first phase of Al Door Plant, in addition to reviewing the second phase of constructing a generating plant for the renewable energy by using the solar energy technology, and the power of wind at the inauguration site of Al Door Plant.
Dr. Mirza praised the report about Bahrain issued by the foundation, which manifested the economy progress in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the industry, trade and infrastructure developments including the transmission networks, and distributing and producing electricity and water in the Kingdom, as well as the available investment opportunities in that sector.
Amaral and the accompanying delegation thanked and appreciated Dr. Mirza for that fruitful meeting, which enabled the foundation to know about the plans and aims of Electricity and Water Authority in providing energy for the investment, construction and development projects in the Kingdom.
