The General Director of Northern Governorate Police announced that at 11:20pm on Friday, a police patrol passing Shaikh Zaid bin Omaira road in Sadad was attacked by a large group of people armed with Molotov cocktails and iron rods.
The police responded using only necessary and proportionate force to restore order. During the clash, one of the attackers was seriously injured. Police immediately called in the medical team and an ambulance but the attacker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The General Director stated that the Public Prosecution was notified and an investigation has begun to determine who was involved in the attack. Anyone with any information should call the police hotline at 80008008. All calls will be treated as anonymous.
