A number of parts of the Kingdom of Bahrain on Friday witnessed organized terrorist acts and escalated violence by the terrorists against the security men triggering panic among citizens and residents.
These acts wrecked considerable damage on public and private property. The law enforcement police who were preserving order in Maameer, East Ekar, Deraz, Jid Hafs, Dimstan, Khamees and Sanabis, in addition to Wali Al Ahad road in Buri, Shaikh Isa bin Ali road in Muharraq and Services Road in Jid Ali.
The country witnessed a wave of violence where the saboteurs attacked policemen and threw Molotov cocktails and iron rods at them and the public. A number of policemen were injured. A police patrol and 7 vehicles of citizens and residents were gutted because of Molotov cocktails and burning tyres.
Part of these organized terrorist acts, the saboteurs, using Molotov cocktails, also attacked a police patrol which was heading to Karzakan with a civil defence brigade to stifle a fire which had earlier erupted there. While other patrols moved to their rescue, they were targeted in Zeid bin Umairah Street by other groups of terrorists who started peppering them with iron bars and Molotov cocktails from all sides.
The saboteurs went on attacking the patrols despite the police’s warning shots in the air and firing of tear gas until one of the participants in the attack was injured. Upon arrival of the ambulance to the site, he was pronounced dead and the Public Prosecutor was immediately informed of the incident. Authorities have immediately launched investigations to probe the reasons behind the terrorist attacks and the identity of the elements taking part in it.
