The fastest 40 amateur karting drivers in Bahrain are gearing up to experience the feeling of a real race; the adrenaline leading in to the minutes before departure, the intoxicating mix of burnt rubber, race fuel and the thrill of the grid departure. The Red Bull Kart Fight National Final in collaboration with MINI is taking place at the VIVA Karting Track on November 2nd at 7pm, to determine THE ONE that will defend the national colors of Bahrain in the World Final in Italy.
The finalists have been selected as a result of their participation in the one month qualifier that took place on the track between September 28 and October 28. More than 200 participants set their fastest possible laps during the qualifications but only 40 with the fastest lap times have made it to the National Final.
What made the competition even more interesting and competitive was the “MINI Fastest Lap Award” which awards the driver with the fastest lap during the qualifiers with a trip for two to Italy to watch the Red Bull Kart Fight World Final in December.
During the World Final, champions from 22 countries including Bahrain will show their talent in an event open to the international media as well as race fans and supporters. It will be a fantastic festival of speed and international competition. The World Final will take place on December 8 and 9, 2012, at the Bologna Motor Show – Italy’s most prestigious motorsport fair.
The Bahrain National Final is a non-ticketed event open to spectators who would like to see the 40 finalists battle it out wheel-to-wheel for the spot in the World Final
