Aluminium Bahrain’s commitment to enhance the career development of its Bahraini employees and to empower them with greater responsibilities received a boost with the commencement of the Defined Training and Development Programme (TDP) for Bahraini nationals in the operations area – Chief Operations Officer group.
The programme has been conceived in direct coordination with the Department of Human Resource & Training. It involves identifying select group of Bahraini employees for additional training that will pave the way in helping them take over permanent positions in both middle and senior level management.
The employees are selected on the basis of their knowledge and skills, initiatives shown in the line of duty, and demonstrated potential for growth.

The Defined Training and Development Programme is a new initiative that is aimed at further consolidating Alba’s success by raising the professional calibre of its Bahraini employees to world class standard,” Alba’s Chief Operations Officer, Isa Al-Ansari said.
Alba has received local and regional accolades for its accomplishments in Bahrainisation of its work force. Currently, out of Alba’s nearly 3,000 employees, 87 per cent are Bahraini nationals. On-going training initiatives, scope for professional development coupled with attractive incentives has strengthened Alba’s status as an employer of choice amongst Bahraini nationals.
The Bahraini nationals in the operations area (Chief Operations Officer Group) who have been assigned with a Defined Training & Development Programme are Fadhel Khalifa Salem, Hassan Ahmed Ghuloom, Barakat Saleh, Ali Abdul Hassan, Hussain Ghuloom Hussain, Mahmood Hussain Hasan, Haitham Salman Al Saegh, Khalil Ebrahim, Nabeel Ebrahim Mohd Al Jallabi, and Khalid A. Latif.
