Deloitte has announced the establishment of a Chinese Services Group (CSG) Desk in Dubai, to serve the Middle East region. This initiative is part of Deloitte’s Cross Border Services, whereby global service teams within the Deloitte network offer clients experience and expertise in its array of services in audit, consulting, finance and tax.
The CSG Desk will also offer clients networking opportunities and understanding of Chinese culture and customs, by utilizing on-ground know-how.
“Deloitte is committed to working across borders, exchanging both information and expertise between the Middle East and China to serve our clients in both locations,” Omar Fahoum, chairman and chief executive of Deloitte Middle East, said.
“We are pleased to partner with our Chinese colleagues to serve a growing number of Chinese companies already operating in the region, as well as assist Chinese companies seeking to set up operations in the region,” he added.
Deloitte’s CSG Desk services will also extend to ME investors seeking opportunities in the Chinese market.
The desk will be managed by James Babb, partner, Clients and Industries Leader for Deloitte Middle East. Working with colleagues from Deloitte offices in China and the Middle East, his role will be to develop relationships with Chinese companies operating in the region as well as those in China considering investment into the Middle East. In addition, his role will extend to assist Middle East companies with information and services relating to entering the Chinese Market.
