Addressing the session, speakers, heads of delegations and businessmen commended the Kingdom for solving up to 98% of the pending cases.
They urged the ILO board to dismiss the issue from its agenda as the Kingdom honoured its commitments, adding that the remaining cases would be settled in courts and through national measures.
Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan earlier addressed the meeting at the ILO headquarters in Geneva.
The session discussed the complaint lodged against the Kingdom of Bahrain by 12 members of the labour delegations which took part in the (ILO) conference in June 2011.
Heads of delegations representing friendly countries addressed the session, including Qatar, the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, the Kingdom of Thailand, India, China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
They all urged commended Bahrain’s efforts to settle the issue of sacked workers, calling on the (ILO) board to dismiss the complaint from its agenda.
