BMI Bank, a Bahrain-based retail and commercial banking institution, is seeking to enhance its market share by introducing unique products and services, according to a top official at the bank.

Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jamal Al-Hazeem, on the sidelines of the opening of the bank’s 9th branch in Tubli, told The 24X7 News that given the fierce competition in retail and commercial banking segment in Bahrain, the banks can only make difference through innovative products and services.

Referring to a very competitive business climate in retail and commercial banking, Al Hazeem reaffirmed BMI’s commitment to be a leader by rolling out the best products and services to serve and enhance its client base.

With zero provisions on the balance sheet, BMI Bank eyes profitability by the year-end as the CEO sees better prospects after offloading all outstanding major provisions.
“In fact some provisions are being paid back which will further help to strengthen bank’s capital base,” Al Hazeem, said with a cautious optimism on profitability towards the year-end.

BMI officially launched a new, bigger full-service branch in the growing commercial and residential area of Tubli to cater to the area through its enhanced banking solutions.

Yousif Hassan Yousif, Director, Banking Supervision Directorate, Central Bank of Bahrain and Jamal Al-Hazeem inaugurated the Tubli branch in the presence of officials from the bank.

Located on the newly resurfaced dual lane Tubli service road, the BMI Bank branch is reachable through Shaikh Isa bin Salman highway and enjoys close proximity to newly developed overpass while being conveniently accessible for customers residing in Jidali, Zinj, Um Al Hussam, Adhari, Tubli, Isa Town, A’Ali, Zaid town, Saraya and Sehla.

“I would like to congratulate BMI Bank on yet another milestone with a new full-service branch at Tubli, one of the rapidly growing areas in Bahrain commercially and residentially. We appreciate BMI Bank’s commitment to Bahrain and we reiterate their commitment to further strengthen and develop the banking and financial sector in the Kingdom,” Yousif Hassan Yousif, Director – Banking Supervision Directorate, Central Bank of Bahrain said.

“Growing demand for financial products and quality services both in Tubli and its surrounding areas made it a priority for us to launch a larger full-service branch within close proximity to the Shaikh Isa bin Salman highway. The new, relocated and a better-equipped Tubli branch is an ideal location for our customers and will be able to cater to their needs through our portfolio of unique products enabling our customers both personal and business, plan better for their futures as per their requirements and financial capabilities,” Al-Hazeem, added.

“This new branch is in line with our continued commitment and approach to provide enhanced service and convenience to our customers which they have come to expect from BMI Bank. We would like to sincerely express our gratitude towards the Central Bank of Bahrain and our stakeholders for their constant support and trust in BMI Bank.”
