Saar Central, an 82 villa luxury residential development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in line with their ethos to support environmental causes around the island, has pledged its support for Reef Arabia.
Reef Arabia, the first authorized supplier of artificial reef units in the GCC, comprises local and internationally based marine biologists who provide real solutions in mitigating marine environmental impacts. Saar Central’s donation will go towards the construction and deployment of artificial reef balls.
At a special event organized by Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s Bahrain chapter, Saar Central and select guests were alerted to the impending dangers to marine life in Bahrain and how Reef Arabia is helping alleviate some of the damage.
“Bahrain’s marine ecosystem is a national treasure. By helping support the formation of artificial reefs around the island, Saar Central is not only protecting the Kingdom’s biodiversity but also the lifestyle of the numerous fishermen who subsist on the marine life,” Nader AlQassab, Managing Director of Saar Central said.
“Saar Central continues its efforts in supporting environmental causes. Most recently, we planted over 100 perennial trees within the development to help reduce the carbon footprint of our residents. This latest pledge is an extension of our on-going CSR programme,” AlQassab, added.
Reef Arabia is the only company in the Gulf that operates a fulltime, fully equipped manufacturing facility supplying a diverse range of quality concrete artificial reef units to the GCC. Appointed to construct and deploy 2,620 units as part of the Bahrain Artificial Reef Project, Reef Arabia is an integral part of the national marine rehabilitation programme.
