“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all Bahraini citizens who have voiced support and loyalty to the homeland and wise leadership,” he said.
HRH Premier was speaking as he received at his court morning a number of officials, clerics, press and media figures, intellectuals and citizens.
During the audience, HRH Premier affirmed that serving the citizens and achieving their welfare top the government’s daily work, adding that the government is keen to adopt and embrace all initiatives that help achieve those goals and meet the Bahraini people’s aspirations.
HRH Premier called for the need to take advantage of the region’s dynamic trade movement and economic growth through providing more facilities for the trade sector and removing all obstacles facing traders, adding that the government has taken numerous initiatives to support traders and consumers alike.
“We are aware that some sides are trying to cripple the economy and the investment and trade prosperity achieved thanks to the government’s tremendous endeavours and sound policies, but their failure is inevitable since the citizens and the trade community are partners in every economic success and, therefore, are always ready to back the government’s efforts in facing those who want to harm national economic strides,” he also said.
HRH Prime Minister pointed out that Bahrain, like the rest of the world, has gone through economic difficulties, but has succeeded in making sure that neither the citizens’ standards of living nor the quality of the services provided for them are affected through sound initiatives and subsidies in order to keep prices at their usual level, which, he added, has made the kingdom the most competitive in the region in terms of prices.
In a related context, HRH Premier appreciated highly all Bahraini columnists and media figures who have dedicated themselves in the service of their nation and defended it against all defamatory and distortion campaigns staged against it.
On their part, those present praised the landmark economic and trade achievements attained thanks to the constant follow up and sound directives of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman, noting that Bahrain has become a regional trade and economic hub and a favourable destination for foreign capitals thanks to the government’s support for economic openness, enactment of advanced economic legislations and solid investment infrastructure.
They also said that Bahrain is a regional leader regarding the prices of goods thanks to the government’s successful policies and subsidies.
