The General Director of the Central Governorate Police has announced that an Asian was beaten up and set on fire by masked men in Sitra on Monday.
He said the operations room received a call from Salmaniya Medical Complex that an Asian had been brought there suffering from injuries, including burn injuries to his legs. Police were sent to the hospital and stated that the man was attacked at around 5am while he was on duty as a guard at a construction company.
The victim said he was attacked by three masked men who beat him, poured inflammable liquid on his body and set him on fire before fleeing the scene.
The General Director said that an investigation had been launched to trace the attackers and bring them to justice
