HRH Premier stressed that traders of the current market and beneficiaries from it will be prioritized in the new one, requesting the Muharraq Municipal Council to come up with proposals on the best ways of implementing the project.

HRH Prime Minister directed to keep up efforts to develop the Muharraq traditional Souq, while maintaining its heritage and historical features in order to meet the city’s need for a market that boosts trade and highlights its historical and cultural heritage at the same time.

HRH Premier toured al-Qaysariya Souq in Muharaq and emphasised the need to continue taking care of old markets, given their historical and economic importance, reiterating the government’s constant interest in renovating those heritage markets so as to promote them as tourist, heritage and trade destinations.

“Under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, we are united and dedicated in the service of the homeland and, and we promise our dear citizens in Muhrraq and other regions in the kingdom that more projects will be carried out in all fields, including health,” he said, calling for the need to promote the team work culture which reflect positively on the services provided for the citizens.
