“The damage has caused severe degradation of all fixed and mobile communication services for customers in Sitra, Sitra Industrial Area and some surrounding areas,” Al Janahi, said.
“Our specialised engineers are assessing the damage in order to formulate a plan for repair work.”
“Batelco is working closely with the concerned authorities to implement repair plans as soon as possible. As yet it is unclear how long repair work may take. However, as the safety of our people is of the utmost importance to us, we have to first ensure their safety whilst working in these areas,” Al Janahi, added.
“Batelco will issue further updates in due course,” he said.
