BCCI Board Chairman Dr. Essam Fakhro called on those parties to provide a favourable climate to positively engage in the dialogue and ensure its success.
He urged to take part in the dialogue without preset conditions so as to serve the national interest, build on previous achievements and achieve people’s aspirations for security, peace, justice and more welfare and prosperity.
He called on all to spare no effort to ensure success of the dialogue, boost the democratic experience, regain the spirit of social peace and cohesion and revive the sentiments of mutual trust and co-existence.
He pointed out that any demands should be processed through legitimate channels guaranteed by the constitution. He said is a national strategic option to reach needed and consensual solutions.
“It is the only way out of the current situation. Therefore, there need to be wisdom and seriousness from all political parties to deal with issues with a high spirit of national responsibility,” he stressed.
He urged to steer Bahrain clear of any sectarian schism, which is alien to the Bahraini people, fast-track the development momentum and boost citizens’ welfare.
He called on all components of the civil society to work on promoting national unity in order for Bahrain to emerge stronger and more united.
“The nation needs concerted efforts, determination and respect of all views so as to reap the fruits of reform,” he said.
