HM the King was speaking as he received at Al-Sakhir Palace – in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander- BDF Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, National Guard Commander Lieutenant-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and senior officers.
HM the King commended the keenness of the BDF, Interior Ministry and National Guard to enhance their personnel’s competence, arm them with knowledge, enhance their professionalism and keep abreast of military scientific strides.
He hailed the military personnel for their outstanding performance and acknowledged reputation, stressing the importance of joint cooperation with the GCC member countries, thus reflecting deep-rooted historic relations.
HM the King hailed the amended security agreement, recently endorsed at Al-Sakhir Summit, stressing the importance of the joint defence treaty which was approved before that to ensure the GCC countries and citizens’ security and prosperity. AHN
