The Bahrain National Theatre presented to its audience the famed Italian opera, Rigoletto as the first event of Manama being the Capital of Arab Tourism 2013.
The Minister of Culture Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, who attended the event, affirmed the importance of the meeting of cultures through the language of music. She also highlighted the interest of His Majesty the King and encouragement of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister towards the growth of culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain represented by the His Majesty’s patronage of the opening ceremony of the national theatre.
The minister also lauded the support of the wise leadership for the activities of Manama, Capital of Arab Tourism. For her part the Director of the Italian show Rigoletto Christina Moti extended her thanks to the Minister of Culture for her direct care for this performance and expressed her happiness for being in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
