The General Director of the Northern Governorate Police reports that a large group of rioters created chaos on Saturday evening by blocking roads, knocking down lampposts, throwing stones and iron bars and pouring oil on the roads in Budaiya.
A separate group of rioters moved onto Budaiya Road during the burial of a deceased person at Jid Hafs cemetery. The rioters attacked the police with Molotov cocktails, rocks and steel rods. Police responded and restored order. A number of suspects were arrested and an investigation has been launched to locate and arrest additional lawbreakers.
