Director General of Metropolitan Police said that the main operations control room received at 6am in the morning February 22, 2013 a communication from Salmaniya Hospital of the death of Mahmoud Isa Mohammed, who was admitted to hospital by his family at 11:25 am on February 15, with a head injury.
The Director General of Metropolitan Police highlighted that investigations by the Directorate indicated that the deceased was injured and treated at unknown location on February 14th, 2013, twenty four hours before his arrival to the hospital. He also stated that there was a delay in treating him, pointing out that the concerned authorities are continuing their investigations to uncover the incident’s circumstances.
The Director General of Metropolitan Police stressed in the end of his statement the danger of delaying the transfer of any injured to the hospital, which entail complications that may kill the injured.
