The participants of the 18th Middle East Oil and Gas Conference (MEOS 2013) said that Bahrain has emerged as MICE destination.

Citing to the importance of the MEOS over the year they said that it had turned Bahrain into fertile ground towards further explorations of oil and gas to meet the increasing global demand for petroleum derivatives.

The participants in the (MEOS 2013) highlighted in their statements to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the 30 years passed since the launch of the conference and exhibition MEOS reflect the continuity of Kingdom of Bahrain’s role as a major participant in the oil and gas industry. The occasion also sheds light on its geographical and strategic location within the world’s most rich places with oil wealth in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula, as well as among the countries of most contribution to the world’s oil reserves.

The participants in the Middle East Oil and Gas Conference (MEOS 2013) are more than 2,000 and 300 exhibitors from 30 countries around the world on a total area of 148,000 square meters.

The President of the 18th Middle East Oil and Gas Conference (MEOS 2013), the representative of the Saudi “ARAMCO” Abdul Aziz Abdul Kareem Hassan lauded Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting and organizing (MEOS), considering the conference and the exhibition as one of the most important oil events on the level of the Middle East and the World.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) Adel Al Moayed considered the conference and exhibition of (MEOS) as one of the most important regional events, which started in Kingdom of Bahrain and still attains a regional and a world concern. He also highlighted BAPCO’s support for the conference and exhibition, since its launch in the end of 1979.

President of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), the member of the Board of Directors of Arab Fertilizers Association (AFA), Engineer Abdul Rahman Jawahery said that holding such global event like (MEOS) along 34 years, is considered significant evidence on the prestigious position of Bahrain in the oil and gas sector regionally and globally.

UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Sweidi considered the conference and exhibition of (MEOS) as a quantum leap in the industry of oil and gas either on the level of Bahrain or on the level of the Gulf region in general.

UAE Ambassador also stressed the continuous commitment of UAE to provide all the potentialities to support Kingdom of Bahrain and consolidate ways of joint cooperation in all areas.
