With the latest Marine equipment delivered to Khalifa Bin Salman Port, Bahrain’s maritime sector continue to be a leader in the region, a senior official at Ports Affairs revealed.
“The continuous modernisation of existing facilities and adding cutting edge capacity are extremely important maintaining the leading role in the shipping and cargo industry,” Hassn Majid, acting Undersecretary for Maritime and Ports Affairs told The 24X7 News.
“Bahrain’s strategic location in the heart of the Gulf has meant that it has long been considered the gateway to the region and Northern Gulf in particular. For over four years, APM Terminals Bahrain has been ensuring that the Khalifa bin Salman Port continues to be an ideal hub for easy access to every market in the Arabian Gulf. APM Terminals Bahrain latest purchase will help maintain Khalifa bin Salman Port as a state-of-the-art facility in the Gulf, and continue the Port’s operations which have drastically boosted the shipping industry in Bahrain,” he added.
