The Bahrain Petroleum Company Bapco extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee for his patronage of the festival marking the 75th anniversary of the Awali Golf Club AGC, which was held during the period March 28 to April 6, 2013, and included the 50th Bahrain Open and 25th Ladies’ Open.
The Bahrain Petroleum Company Bapco was one of the co-sponsors of the festival. Upon the conclusion of the festival, the Awali Gulf Club AGC held an awarding ceremony to honor the winners of the tournaments of the festival. The ceremony was held at AGC premises under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who presented trophies to the winners. The ceremony was attended by Adel Khalil al Moayyed, Bapco’s Chairman and Acting Chief Executive, Ebrahim Talib, Deputy Chief Executive (Refining and Marketing) and senior officials of Bapco. Commenting on this occasion, Al-Moayyed hailed HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa’s patronage of the festival, which led to its remarkable success. Al-Moayyed lauded HH Shaikh Nasser’s valued support to the sports activities in Kingdom of Bahrain which greatly will contribute to enabling Bahrain to achieve prominent status on the global sports map.
