His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, stressed the importance of building upon existing legislation and laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain to meet the country’s various development requirements in meetings on Thursday.

His Royal Highness’s comments came in meetings with the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs (MCLA) and Ministerial Committee for Economic and Financial Affairs (MCEFA).

His Royal Highness also emphasised the importance of maintaining and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a financial centre and the creation of sustainable fiscal policies while continuing to improve public service delivery.

During the meetings, His Royal Highness praised His Excellency Jawad Bin Salem Al-Arrayedh, Deputy Prime Minister and the chairman of the MCLA, and His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Minister of Finance and the chairman of the MCEFA, along with the members of each committee, for their ongoing coordination and cooperation across government. His Royal Highness underlined the need to combine individuals with experience with those who may offer new approaches that may help build on existing achievements and boost productivity.

His Royal Highness examined the committees’ operating procedures, and discussed with committee members ways in which to further improve coordination between various government entities particularly with a view to promptly addressing policies and initiatives that require new legislation.

His Royal Highness highlighted the need to work together to develop standard operating procedures that can bolster the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa the Prime Minister in improving government performance and services. His Royal Highness also stressed the importance of collective effort to ensure accomplishments are delivered in a timely, clear and tangible fashion.

His Royal Highness also added that it was important that government action is seen to be clearly heading in one direction, and that the goal is prosperity for all in Bahrain.

His Excellency Jawad bin Salim Al-Arrayed conveyed his utmost thanks to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, expressing his gratitude for the directions issued by His Royal Highness that aim to strengthen efforts to enhance government performance.

His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for his directions that provide clear motivation for all in government to work towards achieving greater prosperity for the nation and its citizens.
