His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, incumbent head of the GCC session, received at Al-Sakhir Palace GCC secretary-general Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani who outlined ongoing preparations ahead of the upcoming GCC Consultative Summit.
HM the king described the forthcoming summit as reflecting the GCC leaders’ keen interest in following up the march of the GCC to ensure more achievements for their people.
He underscored the importance of the meeting, being an opportunity to spotlight regional and Arab developments, hailing the efforts of the GCC secretary-general and his assistants to promote the GCC march.
He also affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on bolstering the GCC joint march to achieve the peoples’ aspirations and hopes.
Dr. Zayani said he was honoured to meet HM the King and update him on the efforts of the GCC general-secretariat to reinforce joint action, in addition to the progress in implementing the decisions undertaken by the GCC Supreme Council.
