Within the framework of his keen to take advantage of the advance technologies and recent studies ones to improve citizens’ lives in general, and especially those in regard to food security, which poses a challenge to many countries, Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro visited Sultan Qaboos Center for agriculture without soil in the Arabian Gulf University, where he was greeted by University Chairman Dr. Khalid Al Ouhali.
During the tour, the minister was briefed on the modern technology that could benefit from them in desert areas as Gulf States which consequent positive impact on countries’ economies. The Minister also listens to a detailed explanation about this modern technology in cultivation crops, in addition to the plans and programs carried out by Sultan Qaboos Center.
The Minister praised this unique project because of its many advantages and is considered one of the pillars of economic development, the minister stressed Ministry’s support for such sophisticated projects that serve nation and its citizens.
Dr. Khalid Al Ohely thanks the minister for his guidance and support for many projects and his keen to know other experiences to support Kingdom development process.
