Microsoft supports eGovernment Forum 2013

MS_eGA Forum_7April2013Microsoft Bahrain announced its participation in the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2013 as a Diamond Sponsor. Held Under the patronage of Shaikh Mohamed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, the event will bring together the IT and Business communities providing Microsoft a platform to demonstrate innovative technology solutions and scenarios, highlighting the increasingly important role that technology plays in shaping people’s lives.

Microsoft’s presence at the Bahrain IT Expo 2013 will get the visitors closer to the latest innovations across the Windows platform and the Cloud computing portfolio. The global technology giant will provide visitors to its stall access to the pioneering next-generation IT solutions and will discuss with them ways and means to help them improve their businesses’ productivity and Return on Investment (ROI) using technology. Microsoft is giving a special focus to cloud computing and will showcase its latest innovations and the cloud capabilities that Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 present to businesses and consumers. A number of Microsoft local and regional partners will be present to feature their innovations developed on Microsoft platforms such as Windows 8, Windows Phone, Office 365, Lync, among others.

“We are thrilled to have Microsoft joining us at Diamond Sponsor eGovernment Forum again this year.” He reiterated the crucial role Microsoft is playing in bringing a fresh and innovative approach to technology; he said “We are happy to see Microsoft’s latest technologies and innovations showcased by Microsoft and its partners at the Bahrain IT expo 2013 providing a great hands-on experience for IT professionals and decision makers attending the expo,” Nawaf Abdulrahman, Chairman of the eGovernment Forum said.

“We are pleased to be part of The Bahrain International eGovernment Forum once again; our participation comes as part of our commitment to the Kingdom of Bahrain and our local partners, to continually bring the latest in technology that help improve people’s lives and empower businesses in order to support the economic reform mandated in the Vision 2030,” Hamad Al Saei, Public Sector Manager, Microsoft Bahrain, said.

“This is a very exciting year for Microsoft, as it witnessed the launch of a number of products and we are excited to showcase them with eGovernment Forum’s attendees. We will be demonstrating our latest services and products across the Cloud portfolio and the Windows platform; these innovations will enable our customers to have wider choice, flexibility and seamless integration across various devices and form factors.”
