A Parliamentary delegation headed by Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani left this evening on a 3- day official visit from May 9 to 11 to Gaza Strip.
Al Dhahrani stressed the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Palestinian cause is firm and continued at all levels, and that the Kingdom stands with the Palestinian people for their legitimate rights to achieve comprehensive peace, in addition to the establishment of development projects for the Palestinian people.
He also pointed out to strengthening parliamentary relation between both sides, adding that the Committee for the Support of the Palestinian People and Bahraini-Palestinian friendship Committee will provide many joint programs and projects in the coming period.
The delegation is expected to hold meetings with officials from the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian Legislative Council to discuss Palestinian issues and issues of joint interests.
The delegation includes the Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee and member of the Bahraini-Palestinian Fraternity Committee MP Ali Al-Otaish, the Chairman of the Committee for the Support of the Palestinian People MP Dr. Ali Ahmed and MPs Hassan Bu Khammas, Abdulhameed Al-Meer, Dr. Jassim Al-Saidi, Mohammed Buquais, Abdulla bin Huwail and Acting Secretary-General Jamel Zuwaid.
