Any threat to Bahrain is also a threat to Egypt and the whole Arab national security, according to Egyptian Shura Council Chairman.
Dr. Fahmi voiced the stance as he received a legislative delegation led by Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani.
Bahraini ambassador to Egypt and representatives of Freedom and Justice, Al-Noor and Al-Wasat parliamentary blocs also attended the meeting.
Dr. Fahmi asserted that Egypt would never tolerance any Iranian threats or infiltration in the Arabian Gulf region, particularly the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He said that any rapprochement between Egypt and any other party would never be to the detriment of its relations with the Arabian Gulf countries describing the GCC security and stability as a red line.
He said that his country would spare no efforts to promote Arab solidarity, regain its pivotal role in the region and gain political clout and parity, as it became evident that other parties are seeking to expand their sphere of influence.
Al-Dhahrani paid tribute to Egypt for its honourable stance in support of Bahrain, hailing deep-rooted historic relations bonding the two countries and peoples.
He urged more media communication to get updated on the flagrant Iranian interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
He stressed the importance of promoting Egyptian investments in Bahrain and boosting the volume of trade exchanges.
