His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King, Crown Prince met at Riffa palace with Ray Mabus, United States Secretary of the Navy, and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to Bahrain.
His Royal Highness welcomed Mabus and praised the relations between Bahrain and the United States of America, emphasizing Bahrain’s interest in developing bilateral relations, especially in the defence and marine fields.
His Royal Highness and Mabus also discussed recent regional and international issues and topics of common interest. For his part, Mabus also praised the cooperation between both countries and the efficiency of the Bahraini Royal Navy. He also stated that he looked forward to more military cooperation between Bahrain and the USA.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Daij bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Crown Prince’s Court, Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Advisor to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Major General Munir Ahmed, Director of the Office of His Royal Highness the Deputy Supreme Commander, and Thomas Krajeski, the Ambassador of the US to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
