HM the King wished the new Amir of Qatar success to achieve his people’s aspirations for further progress and prosperity, hailing deep-rooted historical relations between the two countries and peoples.
HM the King paid tribute to HH Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani for his pivotal role as the architect of modern Qatar’s development and progress. He hailed his contributions in supporting the GCC march and advocating Arab and Islamic causes, wishing Qatar and its brotherly people further progress and prosperity.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa also congratulated HH Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the new Amir of Qatar, HH Shaikh Tamim, on his accession to the throne, wishing him success in serving Qatar and its people.

“We have succeeded together in overcoming impediments, achieving a lot towards building solid complementary relations on the basis of fraternity, mutual respect and a unified future-oriented vision, for the sake our peoples’ welfare and prosperity,” HM Majesty King said.
HM the King congratulated HH Shaikh Tamim on his accession, expressing his confidence in the ability of the new leader to follow in the steps of the outgoing Amir and assume his responsibility in leading the nation.
He expressed his optimism that the new Amir will continue supporting good relations between the countries, welcoming him in Bahrain, as a “dear brother”, to bolster relations and expand the scope of cooperation towards further integration and complementarity.
HM the King cited particularly the construction of the causeway, saying that the planned artery would bond the two countries and bring them closer together for the sake of the GCC stability and development.
HM the King prayed Allah Almighty to guide HH Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the path of success and fortune and bless the Al-Thani Ruling Family and Qatari people, saying that a promising future, laden with plenty, will dawn.
