Director General of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence announced that arrest of two terrorists accused of the terrorist bombing occurred in al Budiya area on August 3rd 2013.
The Director General highlighted that after being informed of bombing a car near a park in Al Budaiya area, performing a site inspection and carrying out a research and an investigation, the Criminal Investigations Directorate managed to determine the identity of the accused, where they took all the legal measures, arrested and referred them to the Public Prosecution. He stressed that investigations are underway to reveal the identity of the rest of those involved, and hand them to justice.
The Ministry of Interior announced earlier the occurrence of a terrorist act last Saturday, which was bombing a car with a gas cylinder in Al-Budaiya area at a wall of a park frequented by families and children in the area, but no injuries were reported.
The ministry highlighted that directly after receiving the communication at about 06:24 pm, the security authorities headed immediately to the scene and took the necessary measures, where the preliminary details indicated that the terrorists placed two gas cylinders inside the car, and one of them exploded, adding that the bombing occurred during breakfast time, where no one was present at the park.
