Bahrain reiterates its commitment to non proliferation of WMDs

Bahrain Cabinet discussed the determination of an independent entity to follow up on subjects related to the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical, biological, nuclear and radioactive weapons, in fulfillment of its commitments to the requirements of related conventions and agreements of the International Security Council.

The Cabinet commissioned the Civil Defense Directorate to study the matter in coordination with specialized entities during the Cabinet’s review of the recommendations submitted by the National Committee to Ban Chemical Weapons presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
