Bahrain-South Korea to enhance ties in trade, investments, security

The national anthems of the two friendly countries were played and then the two leaders inspected the guard of honour who greeted them.

The Korean Prime Minister greeted the members of Bahraini delegation, and HRH Premier was greeted by the Korean official delegation.

Then, Mr. Chung Hong-won recorded a statement in the VIP Hounour Record, in which he expressed delight at visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, and voiced gratitude to HRH Premier for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation ever since they arrived in Bahrain.

He also expressed hope that his visit to the kingdom would contribute to bolstering the two countries’ relations of friendship and cooperation.

HRH Prime Minister welcomed the historical visit made his Korean counterpart to the Kingdom, asserting that it will strengthen bilateral cooperation and the friendship ties bonding the two countries, enhance mutual understanding and coordination in various regional and global issues.
He added that the visit was a kind of support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries and their policies.

He pointed out that the Bahraini-Korean relations have been growing steadily thanks to the joint desire of their leaderships and peoples to expand areas of their bilateral cooperation so as to meet their common interests, lauding the economic progress witnessed by the Republic of Korea, and the remarkable development strides it has made.

He highlighted the importance of consolidating joint economic cooperation through taking advantage of the incentives they offer, stressing the need to activate the agreement signed by the two countries, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields.

He added that the visit would also strengthen Korea’s ties with GCC countries and open up wider horizons of cooperation, wishing the two delegation very successful talks in order to achieve more positive results.

The two leaders expressed their two countries’ common desire to strengthen their outstanding bilateral relations, enhance joint coordination on all regional and international issues of mutual concern.

They lauded the advanced level of the Bahraini-Korean relations, particularly in the economic and trade ones, expressing hope that bilateral cooperation will be bolstered further in the coming period for the joint interests of the two friendly peoples.

On his part, the Korean Premier Chung Hong-won expressed delight at visiting the kingdom of Bahrain, affirming that his visit will add value to the two the friendly countries’ deep-rooted relations.

He expressed hope that his visit would develop the existing bilateral cooperation so as to meet their common expectations and achieve their joint interests.

He expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, asserting that the Bahraini-Korean relation are going through an excellent phase and we are looking forward to strengthening them further at all levels.
