The Director of Police in the Northern Governorate confirmed that after thorough search and investigation in the aftermath of a terrorist attack which targeted two persons by means of a locally-made firearm near Budaiya Park, it truned out that when the police was tackling a gang of terrorists on Jannabiya Street, terrorists fired from a locally-made firearm targeting the police.
The terrorist attack resulted in slight injuries to two persons who happened to be near the location of operation. The two injured persons were rushed to hospital to receive medical treatment.
The Director of Police added that search and investigation operations continue in order to identify the criminals and arrest and bring them before justice.
