The council is holding the conference under the theme “Integrating Women’s development needs” in cooperation with the Bahrain Women Union, the joint committee and the women commissions.
In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Shaikha Mariam bint Hassan Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of the second conference as it represents a quantum leap for the national project aimed at integrating women’s needs in development policies.
She underscored the importance of viable partnership between all authorities, thus reflecting Bahrain’s pioneering strides. She urged all concerned authorities to launch initiatives towards removing obstacles and promoting equal opportunities so as to build a sustainable competitive society.
