Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa backed the awareness-enhancing campaign to promote the internet users’ safety.
He was speaking as he received Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) director-general Mohammed bin Hamad Bubsheet, who was accompanied by the taskforce in charge of the campaign (surf safe).
The TRA officials launched the internet-safety media campaign (surf safe) recently as part of efforts to protect youth from internet hazards. Shaikh Fawaz was updated on the objectives of the campaign as well as plans to reach out to parents through the media and inform them about the internet dangers. He commended the campaign, hailing the TRA officials and team’s efforts, urging them to pursue the campaign to ensure young internet users’ safety.
