Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C (Alba) strengthened its focus on occupational safety with a walking event for all employees “Walk towards Zero Accidents” held at the plant.
Organised by Alba Health Care Centre in cooperation with the HSE Department, the aim of this event was to increase overall safety awareness as well as promote a healthy lifestyle amongst all employees. The highlight of the event was the walking track, which was within the plant, thus allowing the participation of employees across all departments.
“At Alba, we aim to achieve a zero accident work environment through various safety-related events and activities. Through events such as “Walk towards Zero Accidents” we are able to ensure the participation of Alba employees as well as increase their understanding and awareness of working safely in Alba,” Alba’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Elham Al Eid said.
“Alba maintains safety awareness campaigns throughout the year, and this is accomplished through the weekly Monday safety hours, five-minute safety talk before each shift, the annual HSE Week for all the departments, and the individual Department-led HSE Week, which specifically focus on safety issues related to the departments,” Alba in a statement said.
Alba’s ‘Walk towards Zero Accidents” held within the plant premises aimed to increase employee awareness on safety and health.
