Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) hosted four students from Bahrain Polytechnic as part of their industrial training for Bachelor of Business Industry Degree.
The students are working at BECA to gain experience in the working world whilst also working on their individual projects as part of their course in Marketing. They have been assigned by BECA management team in the areas of Social Media, websites, online marketing, and the customer/visitor experience.
The aims of the partnership between the Authority and Polytechnic are to deliver an integrated marketing communications strategies to generate awareness of Exhibition industry Center amongst vendors and the general public. Also to analyze the service experience from a customer point of view and develop a clear plan for improvement to deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction. The projects will be under the headings of Communications, and Service Marketing. The students will be working on their live projects with the direction and supervision of their lecturers and also the management team in BECA. While working on their projects the students will also gain invaluable experience of working with the Sales and Marketing team during their daily work – to learn about the industry and gain valuable market research information about the events industry.
