His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue at the Ritz Carlton in Manama.
His Royal Highness welcomed the meeting in light of the strong and long lasting ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, based on common values and interests in the region, that feature extensive cooperation and coordination across a range of fields.
His Royal Highness went on to recognize the role of the UAE in further developing the region and the wider Arab world, particularly praising its contribution to the development of the GCC and promotion of dialogue as a solution to the security and stability of the region. In this regard, His Royal Highness welcomed His Highness Sheikh Abdullah’s participation in the Manama Dialogue and together they discussed the key topics of the Dialogue.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and highlighted Bahrain’s role in providing an environment conducive for the exchange of opinions on the deepening issues in the region. His Highness also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continuous success and prosperity.
