MANAMA: nine-year old Bahraini girl today died in a tragic traffic accident on Al-Khafji Highway, Saudi Arabia. The victim was travelling with her seven-member family when the accident happened.
Three other passengers who were travelling in the same car suffered pelvis, chest and skull fractures and hemorrhage. Riyadh-based Bahrain Embassy followed-up the needs of the injured in coordination with concerned Saudi authorities.
In a statement today, an Embassy official source said that all injured Bahrainis were transferred to Al-Khafji public hospital for treatment. The Embassy established contact with the bereaved family and the injured to provide the required documents for the corpse to be repatriated to Bahrain. The Saudi Red Crescent Authority also dispatched ambulances to transfer the victim and followed up the injured to ensure them quick medical treatment.
