MANAMA: The Shura Council hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support and assistance to Bahraini women in recognition of their contributions in national work, development and building.
“Bahraini women have a strong, effective presence at various levels nationally, regionally and internationally,” Shura Council in a statement said.
The Shura Council on Monday issued a statement marking the occasion of the Arab Women’s Day on February 1 which is the date approved by the Arab Women’s Organization in order to yearly honour Arab women in recognition of their efforts and contributions in progress and development of Arab countries.
The Shura Council praised the great role of His Majesty the King’s Wife and the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa in empowering Bahraini women and enhancing their role in building the community throughout her presidency of the SCW.
The Shura Council congratulated Bahraini women in particular and Arab women in general on this occasion considered an opportunity to reminisce the huge accomplishments achieved by Bahraini women and Arab women.
