MANAMA: The Director of Reformation and Rehabilitation announced the death of a detainee Jaffar Mohammed Jaffar, 23, on Wednesday morning. He had been receiving treatment at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
The Director stated that the deceased suffered sickle cell anemia and was admitted to hospital on February 19. He died this morning at around 3:15 am.
The Director offered his condolences to the family of the deceased and the Public Prosecution was notified.
