The Official Spokesperson and the State Minister for Information Affairs, Sameera Rajab in her weekly post cabinet meeting briefing said that the Cabinet discussed the memorandum presented by the Minister of Culture on the project to establish a fund to support cultural and national heritage.
The project aims at establishing a national fund in partnership with the government and the private sector. The fund will be entrusted with providing the necessary funding for the development of arts and literature, preserving the identity of Bahrain as well as highlighting the importance of the role of culture in bringing community members together through their participation cultural activities.
The Cabinet decided to refer the matter to the concerned ministerial committee for further review.
