Al-Mardi extended sincere thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for his constant keenness to meet journalists and columnists and discuss public issues with them.
He lauded HRH Premier’s continuous support for journalists, in line with his approach to consolidate freedoms of opinion and expression, which, he said, improved press work in the Kingdom.
Shaikh Hussam bin Isa praised the pivotal and crucial role played by BJA in supporting the press community in the kingdom through creating suitable conditions for journalists to work in a positive atmosphere that projects the bright image of Bahrain and the renaissance it is witnessing in all fields.
He said that the government is interested in supporting Bahraini journalism in recognition of its patriotic role of enlightening the public opinion and upgrading it in a way that reflects the Bahraini people’s high awareness.
