The new Chairman Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa kicked-off the first quarterly Board of Directors meeting for the year 2014 with an introductory remark followed by the approval of the agenda.
The Board updated the Register of the Directors following the shareholders’ approval during the AGM on the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa; the appointment of Yousif Abdulla Taqi, Osama Mohammed Al Arrayedh, Fahad Nasser Al-Hazzani, Dr. Mohamed Kameshki and Tony Robinson (Anthony Lee Robinson) by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Co. B.S.C © and the appointment of Mutlaq Hamad Al Morished and Fahad S. Al Sheaibi by Sabic Industrial Investments Co (SIIC) together with the elected director, Abdul Aziz Al Humaid from Sabic Industrial Investments Co (SIIC) as the new Directors of the Board.
In addition, the Board decided on the formation of the Board Committees; the Board Audit Committee, and other committees.
During the meeting, the Board has also agreed on the dates for the upcoming Committees as well as Board’s Meetings for 2014.
The Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Government of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Daij also expressed his gratitude for the continuous support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud.
The meeting was attended by Alba’s Senior Executive Management Team as well as other company officials. The Board expressed their thanks to the Senior Executive Management Team, managers, Alba employees and their representatives in the Alba Labour Union for their continuous support to boost the company’s operations.
